Terms of Service

Please read these Terms carefully before using the service. By creating an account, purchasing a subscription or using the iDefNet VPN apps, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Who we are

"iDefNet VPN", "we", "us" or "our" refers to AppVisia LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17211529, with its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. These Terms govern your use of our websites, mobile and desktop applications and the VPN service they provide (together, the "Service").

2. Eligibility

You may use the Service only if you are at least 18 years old, or have reached the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, or use the Service with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. The Service is not available to persons under 13 under any circumstances, or to anyone whose account we previously terminated for violating these Terms.

3. Subscriptions and billing

The Service is sold as a subscription. When you subscribe, you choose a billing period (for example weekly, monthly or annual) and pay the applicable fee in advance for that period. The exact price, currency and billing period are displayed on the pricing page and at checkout before you pay.

4. Automatic renewal and cancellation

At the end of each billing period your subscription renews automatically for another period of the same length, at the regular price displayed in your account, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
You can cancel at any time in your account dashboard, or by emailing support@idefnetvpn.com. Cancellation stops all future charges; the Service remains available until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store (in-app purchases) are managed and billed by Apple. To cancel such a subscription, use the Subscriptions section of your Apple ID settings; we cannot cancel or refund App Store purchases on your behalf.

5. Promotional pricing and free trials

We may offer introductory prices or free trials. Where an introductory price applies, the price of subsequent renewals is always shown next to the offer. If you do not cancel before the end of a trial or introductory period, your subscription converts to the regular price shown at signup. Trials are limited to one per customer within any 12-month period unless stated otherwise.

6. Price changes

We may change subscription prices. Price changes never apply retroactively and never affect a billing period you have already paid for. We will notify you by email at least 30 days before a price change takes effect for your renewal, so you have time to cancel if you do not agree.

7. Refunds

First-time purchases made on our website are covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee, described in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

8. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@idefnetvpn.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account. Your subscription is for your personal use on your own devices; accounts may not be shared, resold or transferred.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

violate any applicable law or regulation, or infringe the rights of others;
send spam or other unsolicited communications;
distribute malware, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, networks or data;
engage in fraud, harassment, or the distribution of illegal content of any kind;
interfere with, probe, scan or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure;
resell or commercially redistribute the Service without our written permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, without refund of the current billing period.

10. Service availability

We work to keep the Service available at all times, but actual speeds, server availability and coverage may vary and depend on the internet, third-party infrastructure and factors outside our control. The Service may be briefly unavailable during maintenance, updates or due to events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure).

11. Software and updates

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use our applications on devices you own or control, solely to use the Service under these Terms. We may release updates that add, change or remove features; keeping the app updated is required for the Service to function correctly.

12. Intellectual property

The Service, including software, design, text, graphics and trademarks, is owned by AppVisia LTD or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the license in section 11, no rights are granted to you. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the Service except where the law expressly permits.

13. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect and how we use it, and forms part of these Terms. In short: we do not log your browsing activity, and we collect only the minimum needed to operate the Service.

14. Third-party services

The Service may link to or interoperate with third-party services (for example app stores or payment providers). Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies; we are not responsible for them.

15. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OR COMPLETELY SECURE.

16. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS EXCLUDES LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, INCLUDING YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS AS A CONSUMER.

17. Termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including sections 12, 15, 16 and 19) survive.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page with its effective date. For material changes we will notify you by email or in the app before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

19. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence. Before starting any formal proceedings, please contact us at support@idefnetvpn.com — most issues can be resolved quickly by our support team.
